Le Morte d'Arthur
Le Morte D'Arthur is today one of the best-known works of Arthurian literature in English. Malory interprets existing French and English stories about the legendary King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table, and adds the original material on the myths and tales. Sir Thomas Malory of Newbold Revel in Warwickshire (1415-1471) was an English knight, land-owner, Member of Parliament and a writer. He is best known as the author or compiler of Le Morte d'Arthur, one of the best-known works of Arthurian literature in English.
