Psychotherapy With Children
Children with personality and behaviour difficulties can be helped to help themselves. That is the theme of this book. I have not attempted to present a psychology of personality or an exhaustive discussion of comparative therapeutic methods. I am stating my point of view about therapy with children as that has grown out of the past seventeen years of clinical experience. What one has to say about therapy, like therapy itself, can never develop in isolation. Associated with me in the evolution of a therapeutic philosophy has been a staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers whose individual and combined contributions have been an integral part of the point of view contained in this book.
